We’ve been incredibly lucky to meet loads of really nice, generous and welcoming people along our way, and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for making the South African leg of our trip so wonderful : to those people who invited us to stay with them, who gave us some of their time to help us understand this fascinating country, those who helped us out in one way or another, many thanks !

Xavier and Amandine with whom we stayed in Joburg, their friends Ben and Priska who invited us to their barbecue, Jakub, Dennis, Nontando, Charles, Jean-Marie, and all the friendly staff at St Augustine University, Charmaine for the interesting tour of Soweto, Chris of Carnaval court in Cape Town for his advice, The priest at Nazareth House in Cape Town, Clémence Petit-Perrot for her insight and advice, Wolfgang Birga-Thomas for his insight and the tour of the cape flats, Nicole-Marie and Oné of Township Patterns, Aunt May-Eliane for all the time spent in Stellenbosch, Rob of Abalimi, Natasha from Graff-Reinet, the catholic community of Graff-Reinet, the family who shared their meal with us in the Drakensburg camping when we were having a hard time getting our fire started, the catholic community of Santa Lucia, the B&B in Ermolo who let us sleep in their parking,  and undoubtedly others we are forgetting.
